Brooke is a Registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Brooke graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology after completing a Bachelor (Hons) of Social Sciences degree from the University of Toronto. Brooke has completed additional clinical training in various therapeutic models, including Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing.
Brooke believes in providing a caring, non-judgmental and safe space for clients to share their journey. Developing a unique therapeutic relationship to suit the needs of every client is vital to an individual’s progress. Brooke’s approach is grounded in a holistic orientation, understanding the connection between mind, body, and spirit through the development of mindfulness. Brooke utilizes a person-centred and integrative approach and draws on modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Brooke supports clients with identifying and setting goals, developing coping strategies and creating positive change. Becoming aware of the unconscious and unacknowledged aspects of ourselves will enhance self-knowledge and self-acceptance.
Brooke has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both adults and youth. Brooke has worked with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief, stress, interpersonal connections, marital concerns, work-related and self-esteem issues.
In her spare time, Brooke enjoys hiking and running with her two dogs, Leroy and Daisy.
