Connor joined the Imagine Health team in early 2023, and is a fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist. Connor received a Bachelor`s degree (Hons) in the US in 2014 in psychology, and then received an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy in Ireland in 2021. He is accredited with the Irish Association of Counselors and Psychotherapists (IACP) here in Ireland.
Before joining Imagine Health, Connor has worked therapeutically in the mental health field in a number of different contexts and capacities for almost 10 years. In the US, he worked in the mental health sector with a focus on community and individual care. In Dublin, he has worked as a therapist in community, private practice, and business contexts giving him a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to work with most challenges a person may experience. This includes anxiety, depression and low-mood, unhelpful or distressing thinking and behaviour patterns, burn out, relationship issues, coping skills, loneliness, and loss.
Connor is an integrative therapist, meaning he has training in a variety of therapy modalities, however he focuses primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) to help clients gain awareness of themselves and the challenges facing them, and then use those insights to promote growth and change. Connor integrates a collaborative and non-judgemental environment to encourage lasting agency and change, often by creating a therapy tool-kit of strategies and skills to help deal with distressing thoughts, emotions, or behaviours.
