Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Limerick in 2011. She subsequently completed a Certificate in Addiction Studies at Maynooth University in 2012, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2015. She has also completed a Foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at Trinity College Dublin.

Sarah previously worked as a Criminal Justice Social Worker in Scotland, where she developed extensive forensic experience, and further expanded her prison-related expertise while working in Australia. On returning to Ireland, she spent four years working as an Addiction Specialist and Team Lead within a homeless service.

Since 2021, Sarah has worked as a Senior Assistant Psychologist with Imagine Health, with a primary focus on forensic risk and needs assessment for judicial proceedings. In 2023, she commenced a PhD in Psychology at Maynooth University, which she is undertaking on a part-time basis alongside her role at Imagine Health.
