Conor Delaney

Psychotherapist
B.A, M.Sc

Conor is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with membership in the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, working under their ethics and guidelines. Conor has an honours degree and master’s degree in counselling and psychotherapy, and works with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds with differing issues.

Conor believes psychotherapy is a powerful journey of self-discovery. He approaches therapy non-judgmentally and with compassion in order to produce a strong therapeutic relationship that promotes empowerment and change. In this warm, empathetic and challenging environment, clients can safely explore themselves and their issues.

While retaining a keen interest in how our childhood experiences can impact our adult lives, Conor takes a humanistic and integrative approach. Trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, and Person-centred Therapy, Conor tailors the therapeutic process to meet the individual needs of the client

With a genuine interest in providing a collaborative and integrated approach, Conor uses pluralistic principles as a framework to integrate a wide variety of schools of thoughts and methods. Pluralistic psychotherapy is a collaborative and integrative approach, rooted in humanistic and person-centred values. Its core premise is that each client is unique, and therefore may need different things from therapy. Collaborative decision making is a key element of the pluralistic approach: talking to clients about what they want from therapy, and how they might most effectively be helped to get there.

In his spare time, Conor enjoys walks in the park, going to the gym, reading, and spending time with family and friends.”
